Hello People,

Can anyone please tell me how effective the Flyscreen is on the 2005 Speed Triple at deflecting windblast or is it just for show?

Cheers!

The '05 flyscreen is good-looking (nicely finishes off the exposed instrument pod), but also somewhat functional. Without it, the windblast starts almost at the top of the tank. With it, the windblast is deflected to mid-chest, clearing most tank bags and providing relative comfort up to about 80 mph. That said, my old CBR had a lot more wind deflection.

Thanx for the info. I also had a CBR600 and have found the wind blast on the S3 quite bad at over 80mph for long periods but I suppose that is to be expected. Hopefully the screen will make it a bit more comfortable.

I will be ordering the Flyscreen ASAP.

Cheers again.

I did 10 hours on my Triple last week and I was doing about 85 the whole way. I never found the wind blast to be all that bad.

Installed the flyscreen and bellypan last week...adds a nice finished touch...as well as minimal wind deflection (flyscreen). The bellypan seems to offer a little comfort in slightly protecting the vitals of the S3.
