I posted up a similar review on another thread - but, I wholeheartedly agree, this bike has completely reinvented my love for riding.

In all of my experiences on sportbikes and the like, nothing has ever felt as confidence inspiring, flicky, sporty and fun as this damned s3. So SO easy to throw into a corner, the power is great, tires/suspension lock in really well when you commit - it's like the perfect amalagmation. I knew I'd like it a lot, but had no idea it would bring back the giddyness and fun feeling I had when I threw a leg over a bike for the first time. As soon as I get off, I am looking for reasons to go back out again

As for styling - I had a Falco for a while, and that always turned heads when I pulled into a parking lot - most people didn't know what to make of it, and hadn't seen many of them, so it was a strange thing to see. This new s3 - it appeals to EVERYONE. The sportbike guys all love the holligany look, and the harley guys love the tough stance. Every single time I pull into our local hang out, the bike gets a crowd of 5-10 people who just circle around it and marvel at it's beauty Pretty damned great.

I think this bike will cure cancer too. I heard a few guys saying their balls stopped itching once they looked at it. And, I hear there's no more fighting in Iraq cause they saw a picture of a speed triple. :-D

I don't know if it will cure diseases, but if any bike could end a war, it would be the Speed Triple. Everybody'd be grinning too hard to shoot at each other.

Just finished the first hundred miles, and am looking forward to daybreak to wear the tires in a bit further, then find out what it really feels like. I'm almost at a loss for words already... and it clearly wants to do so much more.

This from a guy who loves a Bonneville, a Tiger, and has just about completed a year on THE power cruiser. But something was still missing until now. Here, at last, is a bike that puts all the most fun qualities of the others together in a single extraordinary machine.

I've read the thread and agree...it has made me love riding all over again. And as it is raining here in sunny Northern California...I'm dreaming of this weekend when we should have sunny weather and 75 degree tempreatures!!

Current Mods

Hooligan Brake Resivior (black)
Moded rear fender (looks as it should AWESOME)
Adjusted suspension (sooo much better)
Fly screen and Belly Pan installed (nice finishing touches)
-saved the orginal parts in case she wants to run around naked this summer
