Need Slider Recommendations for '09 SP3

All

I have seen tons of threads out there on sliders and I'm trying to figure out :

1) Which frame sliders are the best and have you used brackets to move them away from the knees? i.e. GSGs

2) Which engine protectors are the best?

3) Handle Bar Sliders?

4) Axles?

Thanks!

GSG forward offset frame sliders are great for tall riders and are out of the way of your knees. They also provide great protection to your Speedy. Go gsg for all the protection you need they make a great product....British Customs sells them

DPM engine protectors

I have the engine protectors from DPM on my bike and like them a lot, bot esthetically as well as knee freedom.

Are you sure you want a 200kg bike to slide down the street on a slider that has a lever attached to it?

Looks like the frame / head lug will snap like a twig if proper pressure is put on the slider.

I'm sure it's more solid without a lever, but I doupt Rizoma would produce subpar products. Ill probably add some lower motor protection after so I'm pretty sure it would save plenty of dammage...I also hate having something right in front of my legs (I'm 6'1")...so I think these are better then bare frame if I drop it, although I hope the sliders will never be used!

R&G`s are pretty good.
My right knee sometimes touches the right hand slider if Im braking hard, otherwise I wouldent know they are there.

They also do some lower engine protection but I dont have this fitted (yet).

What I would like to see for our engines is some Covers to put on them like the GB Racing ones seen on the Street/Daytona.

There's quite a few covers for the Speed..I dont know how much more you need? Maybe a tank is what you need?

My bike is fully insured, so I don't want to spend 1000$ on sliders either...I want to avoid some damage in a low speed crash but if I have a serious accident the bike will be the least of my preoccupations...so Im going for a minimal setup that still offers more protection then a bare frame...:

I have a similar philosophy, albeit I have taken it a bit further. If I ever get into a crash severe enough to crack the handlebars or bend them far enough for the frame to touch down, then the bumpstops on the frame have already sheared -> the frame is a writeoff anyway. Hence I go with no sliders.

Engine cases and radiator etc I can replace easy enough, so I see no reason to go too far to protect these.
