Anybody else have Gilles Rearsets on their S3 1050? have a problem and hoping for fix

I've just installed a new set of these rearsets on mine but seem to have run into a small issue. I have a M4 GP style slip on that uses a stainless strap around the can that fastened onto the backside of the stock rearset with a bolt, with the Gilles, there is no ability to do this. The rearsets are in a physically different location from where the stock were and there is no ability to fasten anything onto the backside of the unit at all. I wonder if there are any of you guys that have run into this same issue with aftermarket rearsets and your aftermarket exhausts.

The rearsets feel good and for me have fixed the very minor quibble I had with the small ergonomic issue I experience with having clip-ons and noticing the small change in ergos from seat to pegs that I didnt feel were quite ideal, now they seem perfect with these adjustable rearsets, I could fix it once and for all...but now I have this exhaust issue.

I've ridden about with it relying on the attachment from the can to mid-pipe strap and it seems to stay and feel secure enough but don't know if it's sensible to accept as my new normal. I suppose they supplied the strap around the can for a very good reason so I don't want to be silly.

There was also a small issue with the rear brake fluid reservoir in that with the new rearsets you have to relocate it as the hose is no longer long enough to allow the reservoir to remain in the stock location, the bracket they supply doesn't seem to allow it to be placed anywhere where it can be refastened and secured (it in fact looks just like the bracket they supply for the D675 actually), but I worked around that with some stainless brackets I bought from the Home Depot a while back.

well, I'm getting unnecessarily wordy, any takers on the rearset-exhaust issue?

Use longer bolts on the main rearset-to-frame point. Fabricate bracket from behind frame to can, attach bracket to said longer bolts.

Other option would be to use threaded studs to mount the passenger brackets and run your custom bracket from these, but it might look a bit strange visually as the bracket would be close to vertical.

Here's a few options if you don't feel like fabricating parts:

Replace master cylinder to reservoir hose with a longer one. I think the brake fluid resistant tubing I have is EPDM rubber.

Martin you sensible fellow you...

I took your very practical advise and went to the Home Depot and looked about for what would do the trick, I used a pipe hanger bracket (it's "real name" i'm not sure) and some tin-snips to cut it to size and attached the exhaust hanger to the rear of the OEM master cylinder bolt (picked up a nut also to secure it down), and it looks like it'll work superbly. You suggest of the bolt that fastens the rearsets to the back of the frame would have been great but unfortunately there were no supplied bolts long enough to allow that so the OEM master cyclinder bolt came to the rescue..it's quite secure and solid there I think.

Pics attached, sorry for the dirty bike but even tho I've spent crazy amounts of $$ on useless farkles I still cant get the courage to ever wash the darn thing...

Hopefully it's clear enough to give a sense about what I did..

Pipe hanger cost $1.40 or so, nut and bots about $0.98.......tin-snips..$20 (ouch).

I guess while I was putting everything together my focus was too much on employing the supplied bolts, brackets and instruction on the installation guide in the box...sometimes you gotta remember to improvise.
