My front and rear pads are really worn down and I'd like to get them swapped out asap but I'm not interested in paying the $90+ for a set of Triumph branded pads just for the front.
Anyone know of a good place to buy pads for an 02-04 speed triple? Also, does anyone know if and by how much the brake pads are any different from previous years T509/T595 vs 955/955i?

Those are just the Nissin four pots, right?
If so, then you can buy far better pads from companies like EBC for half the price of factory Triumph parts. And you can get them anywhere, online or locally. I bought my last set from the local Honda/Yamaha dealer, or you can try CycleGear or something like that.
I'd go with a sintered or ceramic/metalic composite on the front, with an ordinary Organic Kevlar pad on the back. No need to make the back any more grabby than it has to be. EBC or Galfer pads are both good.
If you are a real nutjob and fancy yourself a stoppie king, then you could look into some fancy super-grabby ceramic pads. 'Course you gotta be a millionaire to afford them.

I recommend the EBC HH sintered pads front and rear. Great feel and modulation. The only drawback is that they'll wear your rotors a bit faster than the oem's.

I don't mind wearing out my stock rotors because I plan to replace them with wave rotors when the time comes.
Anyone have any good websites that offer next day shipping? I'd like to replace the pads before my trip to St. Louis...

OK, I looked up an EBC international PDF from their website and found the part numbers for the speed triple for all the various years.
Speed triple; (HH meaning double-H is added to HH pads as opposed to kevlar or organic)
94-97 - FA236/HH (front pads), FA2152/HH (rear)
97-01 - FA236/HH (front), FA2142/HH (rear)
02-04 - FA236/HH (front), FA2142/HH (rear)
05 - FA347HH (front, HH only listed), FA2142/HH (rear)
Sooo, as we can see, the years 97-04 pads are identical and I'm wondering if the calipers are identical as well...
