Rocket owner here, other side of forum :hihi:
My question ,know nothing about sports bikes other then they are @ the top of food chain in speed & handling.
Friend has 05 1000cc TL v- strom
sure we will play around weather get A$$ kicked or not
wondering where V-STROM fits in on scale of 0 -100
100 being gixer's
so when I get opportunity to get my A$$ kicked by a gixer
red light to red light .
I'll have idea by how much

PS waiting for replay from this side of forum
By the way the triple is one beautiful machine
If back was'nt bad I' own one ( BLACK )

You can go to this website and get a comparison of bikes.

http://www.bikez.com/bike/rating.php?idbike=21407

Hope it helps.

Sport bikes these days are very common. Every teenager is on or wants a sport bike. Something different is alway better. It's not the bike that makes the man, It's the man that makes the BIKE!

Not sure if I completely agree with that statement. I say go with the bike that *does it* for you, regardless of how common it is.

if you said you had a sports bike then you turned up on a V Strom you would get laughed at!!! Wuld rather pluck my eyes out with a rusty spoon than go on one of these big traily bikes. Do sell well in certain germanic european countries though........... I moved away from sports bikes and sold up to get my smile back and keep my life and licence!
