Hi,

I had something similar happen to my bike last year. Fortunately I work next door to a great body shop!

They ordered some kind of new Medal Bondo? They put it on and matched the paint! You can't even tell!

Good luck with your situation. Here is some advice, bring a can of pepper spray, a phone book, and an asp baton!

Doesn't really matter which way you those items on them next time you see them???!!!!

on a non violent but repairing your bike kind of front....there are a lot of companies that if you approach them nicely will send parts down a powder coater for you. We have two powder coaters at work and have done all sorts of favours for people even sorted out a few parts for my speed triple. Would offer to do it for you but im in the UK!! Hope it gets fixed.

All,

I have not seen any carbon fiber case/engine covers for the 05 S3. I have seen some for older models. Before I have some specially made, wondering if anyone has seen these. Thanks again to all who have replied!

Doh! Was replying with pre-05 carbon cover sources by mistake.

Nevermind.

IF you get a buffing pad & some jewels rouge for aluminum
put a 1/4" piece all thread nut washer pad washers nut into a hand drill should buff out,
can even sand case with some 1500 grit to remove scratch first then buff , but if its a deep gouge your out of luck

I tipped my Bonneville over in a parking lot and put a small gouge in the bare aluminum engine cover. I had to use a fine file, 500 and 1500 grit paper, rubbing compound, and buffing compound in that order. Took an hour and afterward, couldn't tell it was there.

you guys are working too hard 200 -400 grit will clean it up nicely and maby some 800-1000-1500 whatever to clean it up (for you anal retentive types) then hit it with some flat black out door grill / BBQ spray paint you cant tell , its thick enough to fill small scratches and looks stock.
