Hey all, I'm new to the forum...but seems like you guys are the experts...

I have a brand new 05 S3...Only put about 120 miles on her so far.

However, I only got 62 miles before my fuel light came on. Looked in the tank, and it is indeed low.

I was thinking maybe Triumph set the programming to run rich for the first few hours/miles? or do I have a problem?

I have seen very intermittant drips after parking out of the fuel breather hose on the bottom of the bike. the hose is constantly "wet"...

any ideas?

Oh, and by the way, I DID fill it about 50 miles after leaving the dealership...so it was 62 miles on a full tank...

More likely an effect of shortshifting at 3500k

I am getting about 115-120miles before the light is coming on (I'm at about 450miles, 6k rpm)

Anyone else find the low-rpm throttle twichyness a bit annoying?

Ive noticed the off idle abruptness had caused the passenger to go for a quick grab.

Wouldn't "short" shifting increase mileage? You would think mileage would be affected by higher rpms, not lower ones...

I have babied the thing so far...you would think that would create better mileage, not worse...

How much gas is left in the tank when the low fuel light comes on? I've had it come on when I still had 9L (half the tank remaining). I noticed that the light seemed to come on after rather heavy acceleration :-D
