The manual gives 32psi front 42psi rear, I'd try that before messing with the suspension. Some of the blokes here have said they run the rear a bit softer. When I bought mine it had 38psi in the rear, and I found it tended to whiteline a bit. When I raised the rear pressure this went away. The recommended settings seem to suit my weight/riding style (I'm 225 lbs)

The most neutral setting would probably be to return the suspension to stock, if it isn't there already. It should have all the turns listed in the manual.

Sadly the first owner of the bike nicked the manual (and the toolkit, bee-otch!)
I'll check out the 32/42 psi set up.
Also, I've checked out the front suspension settings and the right side is, in fact, a quarter turn off from the left. This doesn't seem like much but I may as well even those out. They will both be showing 4 rings when I've adjusted that.
Again, thanks for the input, this site continues to rock.

tstacy, send me your email address if you want the pertinent suspension info from the '03 Owners Handbook.

Hey, could only one of the fork seals be leaking on the front suspension? I had that problem with the 88 sportster I learned on and it messed up the front suspension.

Btw, are you on a 190/50 or 180/55 rear tire? I just recently switched to a 180/55 and it is definitely a little 'twitchier', but I haven't really noticed any wobble. Although, if you made a similar switch, it might feel wobbly since the bike will be more responsive to steering input...

I'm running the 190 - no fork seal leakage.
It turns out most of the suspension settings have been altered from stock. (thanks for the info Geezerx) I have no idea what the desired effect was when they were fooked with so I'm going to set them back to stock and go from there.
