I went to buy a Buell Lighting at my local Harley shop , picked out the one taht was just comming off the truck signed all the papers and was told to come back the following day and it will be ready well 24 hours later I went to get it and my sales idiot said there was a problem after it was uncrated it was sold by another sales idiot so after a lott of bitching I went to my local Triumph dealer just to see what they had and when I pulled in the drive there was a black 99 s3 not wanting to buy a used bike , that was until I rode it , I could not wait they got an 05 in stock so I took the 99 and thank goodness those IDIOTS sold that ***** Beull,

Vultures!!! Well, if you sold bikes like those (on the floor collecting dust for the most part) for a living I guess you'd have to be aggressive and get as quick a sale as you can....they are Buells you know!!! But out of the crate and bam-boozled like that!!!! That's an outrage!! :hammer: You know your better off anyway.... :-D

well , now we all know what happens to a company as large as Harley when the customers (OH ALMOST CUSTOMERS ) try to buy somthing and they can not provide , the stocks start to fall so we go to a company that can and get a far better product

If it weren't for the fact that they have a lot of mechanical complaints, aren't liquid cooled, and have that yuppie/dickhead reputation to their dealers, I'd be interested in test riding and possibly buying one.
Their technical innovation with the oil and gas relocation is pretty cool, but they just don't have the seeming reliability, heritage, and exotic appeal of Triumph.

I had a very simliar experience at Brian's Harley Davidson in Langhorne, PA, a multi-million dollar operation with a huge facility crowded with Harley riders and wannabes. Most of the floorspace was dveoted to HD acceessories such as HD electric dog polishers, not bikes. I walked in to buy a 2005 Buell Firebolt, waited around for 20 minutes, finally asked for a sales rep, waited another 15 minutes, then I was treated rather contemptuously with a "take it or leave it" manner, so I left. I walked into a Triumph dealer in Manayunk, Philadelphia a few days later. Just six guys and a small showroom floor BUT I was treated in a warm, honest and friendly manner. I pluncked down $1000 on a black 05s3.
The thought of trying to "compete for service" at Brian's still makes me shudder with revulsion.
