Well, the dealer gave me the manuals and whatnot in a big envelope - when I got home, I found out the manual they gave me was for an older ST

So - if anyone has it, could you post up how to change the shift light? I figured out most of the other stuff, but have no idea how to get that shift light changed (did a quick 120 miles so far, and time to change it to 5k).

BTW - this bike really freakin rocks - I am blown away.

press trip and scroll simultaneously for 4 seconds
then press set button for 4 seconds
pressing set again at this point turns off lights
to change setting in 1k increments press scroll button
when correct press set button
setting now changes in 100 rpm increments
when correct press set
voila

Mookie - thanks much, I really appreciate it

So, basically, I have to press set, sing the blues, jump up and down 4 times, jump down, turn around, pick a bail of cotton, skip to my loo, punch myself in the crotch 5 times, do it again, press set, then press scroll again.

What a crazy convoluted process

Was playing with the shift light settings tonite - is there something in the manual that says you cant set the light to 10k? It'll let you set it to 9900, but if you try to go an extra 100 it sets it back to 3500.

***** I wish I had a manual!
