I got 02 S3 powermax ,kn, PowercommanderIII. Its in for custom map dyno session and new bt-014's. Dropped it off wed and dynotuner called me today and said he wanted to modify airbox said it was extremly resrictive and sucking hot air from back of engine. He said airfuel was way outta wack and hp was 105 before tuning. After tuning with airbox the way it is it was 113 ill update after mod #'s monday when i get bike back. Anyone modify speed triple airbox?

Not sure this will help, but on my 300EX Honda ATV I modified the air box as per instructions when I added a FMF pipe and a K&N filter. (I added 6 extra filtered air ports in the box.) I can tell you that there was quicker throttle response and the thing sounded great. No comparative info as it was all subjective data and seat-of-the-pants impressions.
