OK,

So I am the happiest camper because I just got my 05 S3!!! It has been raining every day so I have just been drooling on it in my garage.

SO..Here is my question

I love the computerized displays etc...I am still confused about the gas guage. I read that there is a "instant fuel" consumption when you toggle, but is there nothing else that will tell you how much fuel is in your tank? OR..Do you just haul ass to the closest station once your light turns on. The manual really does not explain much as far as I can see. I am sure that the instant fuel thing is what I am looking for..that is my luck, but it is driving me nuts and I had to ask...I know I know...Dumb!

Granted, I have an 04, but *maybe* this aspect has carried over from mine. I can (and have) gone as much as 50 additional miles a few times when my light has first come on. Even if the 05 is a little different, you won't have to "haul ass" to the nearest gas station. You have some time left before you're walking.

I was told that you've only got about 15 miles reserve on an 05 once the fuel light comes on, so I would refill as soon as possible.
