It should all still be under warranty, I would just take it back and let the dealership handle it.

Exact same problem here!

Just picked up my Triple yesterday - last night it did the same thing (stopping & restarting fixed it right away), but today after work (rained a bit) it did it the whole way home.

After I got mine replaced at around 2000kms the problem completly disappeared. As a temporary measure while I still had the bad one, I just removed and replaced the fuse (number 5 I think, top right) and it would work again for a few days.

The dealer had seen a few returns out of the 20-30 he had sold.

Now I have to take my bike back again for the hose recall thing. Not too impressed with Triumph so far (did I mention that the seat removal cable broke? I need to open it with a long screwdriver now)

Eldercanuck on another display thread: "I found the solution accidentally. With the ignition (but not the engine) on, press and hold down ALL 3 buttons for 4 seconds. At this point, the speedometer reading will start flashing a single digit number - usually 2. Using the scroll button, that number cycles between 1 and 3, with 1=kph, 2=mph and 3=mph as well. Pressing "set" sets the desired mode."

If I remember correctly the difference between 2/3 was English/US units for the gas mileage display.

As far as the display resetting goes: get a new display unit on warranty. At least I did and have had no problems since.
