Posting in "Ride/Trip Reports"

I will be taking about a 1,400 mile trip up into Canada this summer and would like to take pics along the way and post them in Ride / Trip Reports but have what might be a silly question.

Is there a way where you can write and post your pictures and save them somewhere within the site to post them later once you're done or are the long reports I've read done in one "sitting"?

I have seen some posts that were continued but even so, some of the posts are quite long.....

They are some fantastic reading but I don't think I could get that kinda time at the computer!!

Probably best to write them into 'Word' or something like that then copy them into a post later. That way you can hack 'em around at will. You can only post 4 pics (images) at a time (that includes smilies) so you can post in sections and that can include the wordage.

You can do that in the Blogs.

There are some issues within the Blogs at the moment, but they will be resolved soon.

Would the image codes etc still work if I posted them in Word to copy later? I'm assuming they would.

I'm not sure what Word would have to do with anything.

Thanks Shawn. After all this time........I just realized you were from Arkansas. I moved to New England but I was born in Arkadelphia and lived mostly in Malvern. My two brothers and sister are both UA grads.....

No wonder I thought you were "aight"

Go Hogs!!

My reference to Word was in relation to riding on a trip with a laptop and not having access to the net and being able to type up your notes to later copy back into the site.

I see what you mean ...

You could create the initial document in the Blogs and upload an introductory picture. That would give you an idea of how it works.

You could copy/paste the text from a Word document, but the images would have to be uploaded separately.

Hope this helps,
