Forum access problems w/Comcast/Wireless?

Very odd problem, wondering if I'm the only one?

I'm at work now on my hard-wired internet connection. No problem.

But when I get home, for some reason I cannot access Triumphrat.net! I've never had problems getting onto any other internet sites from home but the connection always times out before the page loads.

Anyone else having similar problems? I live in Denver, CO and have a Cable modem with Comcast Cable. I'm using a wireless - G connection from the wife's computer (her computer is in the room with the cable modem, mine is not.)

Just wondering if I'm the only one with this issue. I haven't tried plugging the computer in with a Cat V cable to see if that cures the problem but it looks like I'll have to get into the crawl space this weekend anyway so I might as well give it a try...

I have the same problem connecting from my corporate apartment even though I have "high speed" internet. I get a timeout error all the time, but it is a very slow connection.

I can connect fine at home, where I have a fast DSL, and at work. What is funny is that I can connect from my apartment if I go through VPN.

My guess is that it has to do with all of the advertisements and probably a relatively slow internet server for the site. Since I use a proxy server that is on a very high speed connection when n VPN, I think that it "queues up" the site for me even though my actual internet connection is still slow.

Funny thing is that I can connect at any time via my non-3G iPhone which also has a pretty slow connection.

FYI..A few weeks ago my computer slowed down substancially,i called Comcast, he saw that i was running three tv's and two computers off the same line. They ran a direct line for my computer and it works fine. I also added two rams $50 each and it made even a bigger difference..
