Warm n Safe jacket liner

I just purchased my first heated liner a few days ago. Tonight was the first time that I used it. Upon the recommendation of the sales lady I wore a long sleeved t-shirt underneath the liner. I also wore a short sleeve t-shirt underneath the long sleeve t-shirt. I do not have my vest liner in my jacket so I have the same coverage across my upper body.

My problem is that my arms are still cold. If I turn the temp up enough that I can feel it in the arms then my chest is entirely to hot for comfort. I am wearing winter gloved with gantlets that go over my sleeves and that helped a little but not as much as I'd like. Please help me with some advice on how I can get my arms warmer without over heating my chest. Thanks.

I just bought a Gerbing heated liner about 2 weeks ago and found that I have fairly even heating. My back may be a little warmer than my arms but my arms definitely aren't cold. Fortunately, the Gerbing Rep was there to help me pick a proper fitting liner. It needs to be snug against the body to transfer the heat but not restrictive. I only have a mesh Joe Rocket jacket with rain liner and I generally wear the same thing you were or even just a t-shirt when riding. My jacket does a tightening snap near the elbow to keep the armor in place, that might help. It is a possibility that the arms aren't heating at all if there is a malfunction. I also just bought the Gerbing gloves and pants and they don't run as hot as the jacket but that is probably because they are exposed to more wind and the pants are worn over jeans and are more loose fitting. Good Luck

I just got an LP Comfort mock turtleneck that will hopefully allow more heat to transfer to my arms without burning me. If this doesn't work then I'm going to try out different brands until I find one that works for me.
