Unhappy My poor riding jacket... my poor Bonnie!

I just got home from a ride with my wife and had draped my man-made suede riding jacket over the handlebars. What I didn't see was that the end of one of the sleeves draped over the pipe and when I went to put the bike away and took my jacket off the bike I found that it had melted to my pipe! A closer look found that earlier when we had stopped for ice cream that the same thing had happened to a much smaller extent on the opposite pipe with the lining of the jacket.

What is the best way to get the now melted nylon and pseudo-suede off of my pipes without damaging my beautiful blue-chrome pipes???

Haven't tried it, but have been told the cleaner made for glass stovetops works well.

this happened to me when my brother touched a rag on my hot exhaust pipe. what we did was ran the bike for a little bit to get the pipe a little hot and used a plastic scraper to get the stuff off. worked pretty good and got everything off but the spot where it happened was left a little dull.

A good chrome polish may work, I know it works on rusted chrome.
