What summer jacket do you use?

Ok, it has ben 100-105 here in Dallas for the past week or so :... I usually wear my Dainese perforated leather or an Olympia mesh jacket. I am looking for something that would allow more air in. I looked at the Vanson Mesh Jacket (VENT MAX 3). I just had to dish out another $200 and collect one more jacket, unless it can really provide some relief. Anyone has any experience with this jacket? Alternatives?

That's gonna be a tough one. I'll be surprised if you find proof that one good mesh jacket is much different than the others.

Here in sunny NM my wife and I both have Cortech mesh for the summer. She has a lady's jacket...LRX?. I have the GX Air with leather. When we're moving both jackets seem good. I think the leather portions on my jacket block some air movement, but I think it may provide a little more protection. We opted for lighter colors. Mine's blue with black leather; hers is white. I also have Tour Master mesh overpants. They let a lot of air through, but I don't wear them as often as I should.

I use a Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0

Pretty comfy while moving, still kinda hot at lights. Any mesh jacket with back protection is going to be that way. I've had it for over a year now, and actually used it for winter commuting too. Seems to be well(ish) made, and my only complaint is the stupid button arm cinching straps everyone uses.

For cheap safety, I would recommend it.

I have the gunmetal, and the wife has the silver...I should have gotten that one too..it's lighter in color, but still 'manly'..

these jackets rock.

I have an Alpinestars T-Venom jacket which has a zip out wind/water proof liner. I'm very happy with it. I'm wearing it in my avater pic.

Wear an evaporative cooling vest, with sleeves, under your mesh. They are a little heavy when fully saturated, but will last up to 3 hours in heat like that. They will make a 105 degree day seem like a 70 degree day. You will ride in comfort, and possibly laugh out loud.
