Yeah, I can be kinda dumb sometimes. But my old Harley jacket is SHOT, it smells and doesn't keep the rain out, and the $400+ triumph jackets don't come in a tall size (that I have found)

So this jacket on ebay looks kinda tacky, but it's the right style and the site says you can order it in custom size and colors and the moon and starts etc. for only $140. So I hit the buy it now button, and waited a week to get a reply from "Faisal". He asked what size, so I gave him a bunch of measurements including the fact that I wear a 42L in a Suitjacket. About 4 days later he emails me back to say "Just pick the size from the chart and write your intructions." So I just ordered a XL with extra length in the torso and sleeves and told him if he can't do that then just cancel it altogether.

Sooo anyways, buyer beware. I'll let you know if and when it works out, if anyone cares at all. I guess I've always had such great luck with ebay and craigslist.

I'd be interested to find out if you ever got your jacket and what you thought of it. I've been looking at these jackets on eBay, and while they're "replicas" the feedback looks almost unanimously positive, and the prices are good.

What did you think of the finished product? (assuming there was one). Was it an obvious knock-off, or pretty convincing?

No, I haven't recieved the jacket. Actually the seller is no longer registered with ebay. I'll have to report it and see if I can get my $$ back. What a drag.
