Hmm

I'm trying to figure out a good fit on the Hawk. I'm 6'2", 180lbs, long skinny arms and a pretty big chest but small shoulders. Dang, that was cathartic to type out. Anywho, anyone have luck with a similar situation?

It also could be because TIGHT leather protects you. Racers don't wear tight leather to be uncomfortable the whole race for no reason! The physics behind this is this....if the leather isn't tight, it may crease or fold under a skid...which will in turn rip open the leather (not good). Unfortanately...too many americans would rather be "comfortable" and look "cool" (as baggy is in here in the States) than be protected. If it's loose the armor wil also move and be worthless. As a general rule...if it doesn't feel SNUG to begin with (leather will stretch to fit) than it is for looks only as it will not be effective.

Good advice! Not to mention, loose leather can more around cause friction rash.
