So I've decided it's time to get a proper set of leathers. The huge caveat is that I have a lot of trouble finding gear that fits well. I'm 6'3" 215lbs.

I have a Joe Rocket Blaster jacket that I'm fairly happy with the fit of, so I'll probably go for a higher end Joe Rocket Jacket.

The big problem is pants. I seem to fall solidly in between the regular and tall size. In a regular, the pant legs aren't long enough. In the tall size, the inseam is long enough, but they bunch up and limit movement when in the riding position (I assume I'm a bit more folded up than most because of my height and aftermarket rearsets).

I'd really like something that provides more protection than kevlar jeans without being distracting while riding. Anyone who's vaguely my size have any reccomendations? My waist/inseam (real, not pant size) is 37x35 (yah - I'm screwed  ).

None of the local shops have much of a stock, so I'll probably have to order online and chance it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'd really like perforated leather, but would also be very happy to find a textile set with leather inlays. In fact, I'd probably buy both if I could find ones that fit well...

Thanks!

If you're willing to wear chaps, US Made Leather can make you a good quality pair to your specifications, for around $150.
They're located in New England.

1,430.00 AUD=1,171.32 USD for the basic 2-peice suit
612.00 AUD=501.290 USD for pants

Oh man. Custom is definitely the best way to go, but out of my budget for now. If I can't find anything off the rack I'll probably pick up custom leathers over the winter...

The pants aren't supposed to be as long as Jeans. They should end above the ankle bone. Your best factor to determine length is if the knee armor is in the right place.

I'd rate this stuff right up there with Vanson and it seems to be made for bigger people...

Jacket

Pants

I usuall wear jeans with an inseam of 34 (I also wear them baggy). And inseam of 30-31" seems like it's pushing it, but the adjustable knee armor is definitely a huge plus.

Anyone know of a good place for gear in CT/RI/MA/NY? I'd travel a couple of hours to get to try some things on...

Head to Vanson's in Fall River, MA. They can custom measure you and have a pair to fit within a few days. Best leather goods out there.

Some of the best that money can buy:- http://www.batesleathers.com/ - I'm just on my second set in 12yrs since I ordered my first set at Daytona and still on the first pair of Fast Track boots (re-soleable) - I out grew the first set, which I sold for $500 - they looked real cool all scuffed up and worn.
