I'm lucky enough to live about a 45 min ride from the Draggin Jeans factory in Hickory NC. They sell retail and 2nds in the showroom. I rode over recently. I normally wear a 36, 32 but found that Draggin Jeans run about one size small. I ended buying a 38, 34 in the Classic Cut. The staff was very nice and the 2nds room is the way to go!! I bought two pair of seconds at 35% off! They ended up being about around $65 each. I also bought a pair of their knee and shin armor ($23). A 2nd can be anything from an odd color thread in the denim to an tiny pucker on the seam. One of the pairs I bought in the 2nds room had just been returned by a mail order customer and wasn't even a "2nd". Unfortunately, they only sell the 2nds out of the showroom or at rally's where they have a display. The salesman did tell me that they're coming out with with a style other than jeans very soon for work commuters. The knee and shin armor work very well. I wore them last week on a couple of my customer visits (yes, I'm lucky enough to ride my bike for work travel) when I arrived at the customers location, I popped the armor out and was wearing a regular looking pair of jeans. If you're ever passing through the Hickory NC area.....it's worth the stop.

They're definitely not just for show: the denim is substantial, and I'm sold on Tourmaster/Cortech's quality. The leather panels extend well below the butt, so even if they ride up in a slide, you'll be covered, same for the knees which also have CE armor. I realize that there are a number of choices out there, some better than others (JR and Icon's offerings don't impress me) and I too feel that abrasion resistance alone is not adequate protection: there should also be armor for the inevitable impact prior to the slide. You wouldn't want to (nor would they let you) wear these at a track day, but for casual riding, they work well for me.

Tour Master DSX denim jeans. Uses leather panels rather than Kevlar for abrasion resistance and CE knee armor. They come in blue or black, $67.99. I'm looking at getting a pair.

I bought a pair of sliders jeans fromhttp://www.compacc.com/cat.cfm/cid/1001002 . They were considered seconds due to the manufacturer used the wrong weight denim and didn't stone wash them. they have kevlar material in the hips/butt area and the knee area. they are plenty warm and good and loose altho the waist was tight. the price was right though, 49.99, 30 less than the originals. my next pair will probably be the cortech with the leather and knee armor.

I bought a pair. They are very comfortable. The waist sizes are a bit generous, and you shouldn't but them in the dryer because of the leather. If you run between waist sizes, I honestly would recommend getting the smaller ones.

The denim has a bit of stretch in them. The dirty secret in women's jeans has made it over to the motorcycle world.

I'm going to wear them on the ride to Triumph Come Home, so I'll have a nice "all day" review later.

Ordered a pair of the Draggin classic today. With the knoxx or similar knee and hip armor underneath I think they should be fine for casual riding or lower speed commuting. I've gotten tired of having to either change or find a place to store my overpants (I don't have the bags on the bike for short distance riding.)

My only concern is no 180 zipper for the jacket (at least I couldn't find one on the website) and what might happen in a high-side where the jeans could come off if you landed forward on a hip.

Threw it down the road at about 50 mph after a deer strike wearing Hood K7 Jeans. Hood Jeans The denim in the knees was gone and the fly was worn to the aramid but I came away without any "Road Rash". The hard armor in the knees stayed velcroed in place well. My Dainese leather jacket and Sidi boots were worn through in places as well. I'll probably replace the Hood jeans.

Tour Master DSX denim jeans are the dogs bollocks.

They've been very conformable, even for long distance rides. The denim is quite substantial, but not overly stiff like a new pair of Levis. Even on hot days on the Beltway here in DC they don't leave me dying in the heat.

A note on sizing since my last post on this topic--if you run between two waist sizes like I do, get the smaller pair. There is a bit of stretch built in and you won't be able to dry them in a clothes dryer like normal jeans because of the leather panels. That's the only downside I see. So, if you need to wear them the next day, ensure you wash them the night before and give them ample time to hang dry.

Highly recommended.
