I wonder if anybody can help out a little? I'm looking to pick up a Stockton jacket and am not sure about the sizing. I'm 5'10, 210. Shoulder size 33 ( 84 cm ). Waist is 38-40 with a little gut, The closest dealer is 3 hours away, so trying one on is not really an option. I would hate to order one and then have to send it back for another. Any help or advice would be apprieciated.

I was interested in the jacket before buying a Dainese Vintage Pelle. I am 5'11'' and about 165 and a size 42 fit me decently well. My gf said it looked kinda boxy and unflattering on me compared to my Alpinestars jacket I also have, which is a size 40 US (50 EURO)... so my suggestion is to go a size up from what you're used to wearing. At least that was the case with me. It definitely looks better on certain body types, and I was not one of them. Even though my dealer was willing to sell it to me for $350, I just couldn't justify buying it. You may want to search for reviews on the jacket, because I've read about zippers breaking, etc. I know they always were willing to swap it out at a dealer under the warranty, but if you're 3 hours away from yours... so I don't see that as a viable option if it does happen to break on you. If they do need to replace it, they probably won't have the same jacket in stock, which is a neat looking jacket, so it's a tough call. Good luck though!

Hey, thanks for the reply Doc. It ordered the 46, got it and it was a little tight. Very nice jacket though. Sent it back and a 48 is on the way.

I had tried this jacket on back in the fall. I loved how it looked, but couldn't find a size that both fit me and fit the armor in the right places. I wear a 38 sport coat/suit and the 38 seemed to have the armor fit right, but was just a bit too short and tight. The 40 had the elbow pads way too low and didn't feel like it would be of much use. Great looking jacket, but it just wouldn't work for me and I have pretty good proportions for most off the rack items in my size. This is the first item i've ever run into trouble with.

Hey ALgetaway,
Since you are in the same area as me, I was wondering what you use for a late spring or summer jacket? I'm trying to find something from Triumph (or I guess anybody for that matter) that offers some protection but doesn't burn me up in the Alabama summers. Any suggestions?

Hey Mr. Weatherman. I envy you. You have the only job where you could be wrong every other day, and still keep your job. 😄 Just kiddin. I can't really suggest anything. If its really hot, and I'm just running around town, it's jeans and a T-shirt. But that's my decision. Between taking the liner out, and all the vents in the new jacket, I should be able to wear it for a while.

Lol...yes I have had my share of bad forecasts. Why is it everyone only remembers the bad ones? Thats cool about the jacket. I've only been riding since last May so I didn't know if there was a recommended summer weight jacket or not. Last year I just rode like you, jeans and a t-shirt.
