Tourmaster heated clothing
I just bought a tourmaster synergy jacket and gloves. I got them to help extend the chilly mn riding season a bit. The jacket (actually jacket liner) I bought is a sleeve type, and the whole system is integrated very well. That is, there is a simple fused harness to attach to the bike battery, which plugs into the waist of the jacket liner. The liner then has plugs in the sleeves that the gloves can plug into for power, and also has a connector for their riding pants. There is also a control unit that straps to your left thigh, for temperature control on the go.
I am pretty happy with the set up, it is all very comfortable and well made, and on the lowest setting kept my body and hands totally comfortable in 39°F weather. I am looking forward to testing it on a much longer ride - but basically this set up is going to allow me to ride in comfort without masses of bulky layers for quite a bit longer into the cold season. Good stuff!
