Triumph Leather Jacket question, Rivton. Why is the zipper on the wrong side?

***? I ordered it online and it's beautiful and fits good and obviously excellent quality, why is the zipper on the wrong side? Is it a British thing or a bike thing or a screwup?

Thanks!

I will probably be taking it to a tailor to get it swapped unless someone has a reason I shouldn't.

Rob,
I have an earlier model of the Rivton, and indeed the zipper is "reversed" on it, as well. I was guessing that it is a generic male/female style, and many women's clothes have "reverse" sided zippers. I also noted that the forearms were quite snug, which may be the cut of the jacket, or possibly I was shipped a lady's version.
If you're happy with the style and fit I can't imagine why you would spend the money to re do the zipper. It takes me an extra 2 seconds to re-train my mind and hands to deal with the zipper, but I view that as a small price to pay for a jacket that I like.

I have found jackets made in Italy and France has reversed zippers quite often.
I actually Have two of the same style Italian Made Belfast jacket purchased two years apart and even though it is the same style the zippers were reversed on the new one.

Perhaps the zipper supplier had a batch that was same style teeth but reversed closure tabs at a better price.

Zipper on the "wrong side"

Nothing wrong, it was made for the European market. That's the way they make things for there. Lived there for 11 years.
