Mirrors

Useful things mirrors, you can see behind with them. Funny how a number of bikers don't seem to use them, or at least don't think anyone is coming up behind them.

As I'm generally scouting all around me when riding I like to know where everything is on the road in relation to myself, especially if I'm pushing it !

I find the stock mirrors are ok on both my TB and CB and haven't considered changing them, although I'm aware a number of riders change theirs, not sure why, probably for appearance ?

Ride on !

On my speed four I get a lovely view of my elbows in my mirrors Seems to be a common theme with sporty bikes.

I do check my mirrors often, it is a habit i picked up when I was driving a delivery truck. "Always leave yourself an out." But on the bike, it is much easier to always have an out

As far as changing, it costs too much to change them for little or no effect, so as long as I don't break one, I'll just stick with stock.

When I first got my Tiger I also had a great view of my shoulders. After fitting a couple of mirror stalk extenders the view rearwards is now fantastic!

i am always looking in my mirrors and checking my surroundings. the stock mirrors sucked, and now i have CRG lane splitter bar-end mirrors and love 'em. i can see everything behind me, they are easily adjusted, and stay put. i had the triumph artermarker bar-ends, but thought they were a bit clunky and have had them come loose more than once while riding the bike. CRG's are the way to go.

I changed my mirrors because I thought shorter, black mirrors would look better with a Legend.

I was right!

I originally changed my mirrors for looks but quickly found out they were useless as most aftermarket mirrors are flat and not convex. I have since gone back to my stock mirrors. The look like two huge antennae but they work.................(better anyways)

I find sometimes I rely too much on headchecking for lane changing, which is bad because it means I'm looking back for longer. You can imagine situations this could be bad: a car in front of you rapidly slowing down.

I've started focusing on using the mirrors more and just doing a quick headcheck just for the blindspot instead of all the way back.

I don't know, I just have this distrust of mirrors.
