Mobile phones are nothing

On my last trip to the UK I drove from London to Southampton on my way down the M3 I was overtaken by some idiot who had his kid sitting on his lap holding onto the steering wheel. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, the car was full of people mum, dad and what looked like grandparents.
They must of thought it was just fine to allow a kid to drive their car at speeds of 70 mph +.
I slowed down and allowed them to get the hell in front of me by a long way.

That was no kid. It was Idiot's twin midget brother congenitally joined ass-to-gut. Just another drive in the country for the Oddsbottom family.

p.s. OK the "head unit" story makes more sense now. And nope, it's not an industry standard term among bass players.

I was on my phone while on the bike this last night...

My friend who was on the other line said he couldn't hear me and god knows I couldn't hear a thing over the pipes and the wind.

But it was amusing none the less to attempt such a feat.

Even with a hands free, you can still be distracted with the conversation. Since mobile phones have become a necessity, all countries should have a "no cellphone while driving" policy.

About 3 weeks ago I followed some pimply youth on a scooter, he was on the phone while riding all over the road for about 1/2 mile

In New Jersey we have the hands free law. When it was introduced you could not be pulled over specifically for this infraction. Then they changed it and you could be pulled over. I think it's made little or no difference. I use blue tooth in the car and don't often converse while driving. My plan has minimum minutes. I don't know or understand why people feel the need to be on cell phones so much! Guess they will be the ones with brain cancer. Since blue tooth is available why do people still hold the buggering things up to their ears while driving? I was jogging at lunch one day, headed back to the office. A lot of people were getting in their cars for lunch and 5 out of every 6 were on flipping cell phones. Its crazy I tell ya.
