Calfornia Superbike School

has anyone ever taken courses at the aforementioned school, or any other advanced riding schools on the west coast preferably? i'm really interested in taking one of their courses when they come out to vegas, but it's EXPENSIVE!!! i mean 2250 for a 2day camp? doubt that's gonna happen unless i get rich anytime soon.

i want to take an advanced rider course, i really wanna learn to ride the hell out of my bonnie so when i'm riding in the twisties i can have more fun and have a more spirited ride, but at the same time learn to be safer and more confident and in control of the bike.

the MSF has a advanced rider course, but most people i know who have taken it say its pretty much a waste of some cash and 6 hours, cuz although its useful slow riding skills, not many people recognized any benefit from it in the real world.

i just want something more, but not spend a gajillion dollars doing it. i feel good on the bike now, but i wanna feel even better on it!!

any suggestions?

I'm starting to hate Tampa Bay almost as much as the Yankees.

I took an advanced riding course from the riding school that taught me my basic skills.

It wasn't Keith Code or any other big name camp, but it was at the local racetrack. The instructors were all bike racers/riding instructors and very enthusiastic. It was very well organized and I learned loads about my riding and my bike. I came away a faster and safer rider.

It cost about $400 and I'm not sure I would have learned more going to Las Vegas or California at my then state of riding.

Or to put it another way I got at least 90% of what I would have got for 25% of the cost.

I'm thinking of taking this course in Adelanto, CA on March 8. It's $325 and Lee Parks will be there himself. About an hour and a half from LA . . . seems like just what you are looking for.

Cheapest way, and possibly short sided, to learn is to read books, talk to other really skilled riders in person, and practice what you learn at a significantly reduced speeds. Reducing your speed will allow you to focus on the minor improvements, a philosophy adopted by nearly every school.

+1 on the Total Control Class!

I was lucky enough to go to the one class Lee Parks held here in Las Vegas a while back. It was the best money I've spent in a long time.
If you get a chance to go, do it. You won't be disappointed.

I almost made it to the Total Control course. Since they don't allow cancellations, I waited until the friends I was going to go with committed. When I went to book the class, I was told they'd canceled it that month because they'd gotten a contract from the military and sent all the instructors to California.

Then I signed up for an MSF experienced rider class in Alabama (because they don't appear to sched them here in Georgia). A few days before the class, they called and said they'd canceled due to low enrollment.

Frustrating
