I got the green flag from my wife. Looks like I'll be going.

Did you see this bit:

"Also new this year will be a special display of pre-1980 cafe racers. And, in honor of Triumph, the Featured Marque for 2008 VMD, modern Bonnevilles and Thruxtons that have been customized in the cafe racer style are also welcome. If you would like to show off your cafe racer at VMD, send an e-mail to Will Stoner at the AMA or call (614) 856-1900, ext. 1415."

Bring on them cafe's!

You mentioned the RAT corral.

Did the folks at Triumph NA arrange that in the past?

There has been no communication from them about any RAT events this year, so I am wondering will this be guaranteed again?

I had seen this and am truly considering it for my longer trip this year. I'll have to see how work is as it gets closer.

No, the Packs from Cleveland and Detroit usually have arranged this each year. Jonathon West has been the main instigator.

Some times, Triumph have tagged on to it with a ride.

i'm definitely heading there this year. i'll be there with my ragtag group of friends. we're heading down with a chase car and camping out on the grounds. we went to the vintage grand prix last year but would have rather gone to the vmd. i'll be sporting my cafed black on yellow t-bird sport followed by a black t-bird and a couple of "new" enfields.

Maybe....
Scott, if my Sprint doesn't sell by then, I may just dose up with some ADVIL , suck it up, and ride up with you and the Carolina crew.
I heard they were looking for a nice example of a Sprint Exec. for the display.

I head up there every year. Just about and hour away. Its a great event. BTW Mackdaddy I live in Reynoldsburg. Was wondering if you deal with Hinds in Lewis Center? I purchased my Legend TT from them six years ago. About the only local Triumph dealer around. There is a new one out on the east side of Cols. Mid Ohio should be even better this year with all the Triumph owners hopefully showing up. If anyone out there has never attended this flea market with racing all day then you're in for a real treat. It's a well organised deal. Get there safely.
