Many is the time my golfer partners have suggested I go fly a kite!

I'm sure there will be a kite flying part of the festival as well. I will come look for you when I see the kites take to the sky.

OK.
We will make it work. Lots of enthusiasm so far, so I don't think low turnout will be an issue.
bonniegirl, do you think this could get too big for you to be comfortable?
whisperinsmith and bonniegirl, what can I do to assist?

I'm pretty much in agreement with you, actually. I figure people can take care of making their own lodging arrangements. But once we get a vague idea of how many people are likely to show up, we will obviously need to find a place to gather. The obvious answer is Robin's cafe, as long as she doesn't mind, but if there are too many of us to comfortably fit, we may need to find another venue.
It would also be nice to arrange a dinner that Saturday night, so we'll need to find a suitable restaurant and have them set aside a room for us or something. Alternatively, maybe we could find a park or someone's yard and have a big cookout or something.

What would really be cool is if people coming from the South could converge with the NJ Rat's and then in turn converge with the NY & CT Rat's thus getting bigger & bigger as we head up North and then converge with the Mass Rat's and howl our way up RT7 into VT!

This is starting to sound like something out of, The Wild Ones. HiVel had a company in Hollywood make him a replica of the hat Brando wore in the movie. I could steal it from him(he would never let me borrow it, he loves that hat)and bring it so Mr Smith could wear it as he leads us into Bennington. I can see jail time in our future.

i'm good with all this. there is a big lot behind the cafe, not the one that mr smith is familiar with. there are 2 restaurants in town that can hold large groups, not quite banquet hall style, but in a separate area. i know the owners of both. it seem that with the size of this, maybe we should actually pin a date. the 7&8 of june is won't interfere with memorial day, if we go to 14&15 june, there will be lots of harley traffic with americade. or we could do mid may...weather could be a bit chilly for those that come from far.
