This is shaping up nicely since i signed off yesterday. bonniegirl it looks like you are going to have a rather large group shopw up. If this keeps snowballing we may have to file for some kind of permit.

Man alive, if MrMellow goes from freaking Seatle there's no excuse for anyone in the country not to show up. This is going to be crowded! No pressure Mellow....

No Pressure Mellow - Ahhhhhh!
The only pressure I feel is the need to map all the hot tubs and massage therapists between Seattle and Bennington.
Actually, the pressure I feel is to do SOMETHING. Recent posts by TBA-Golfer, Whispersmith, Bonniegirl, to name only a few, have gotten me thinking a lot lately about restless, uncertain, or waiting souls. I wouldn't likely commit to "some" bike run in Vermont. But I will make the trip to feed a personal need, and hopefully contribute a little to the intangible mix. I don't mean to turn Whisper's plan into a philosophical journey, but something about this thread struck a deep chord with me. I don't know any of you, but something tells me that that isn't really true.
I’m already planning for it.

Mellow-
I'll have cold beer, a grilled steak and a glass of Famous Grouse waiting for you if you want to stop in Mpls. on your way east.
I'll leave the key under the mat in case I'm out on the golf course...

Count me in on a southern VT ride-in. In fact, we could turn it into a mini-RAT Raid and get various New England RAT packs to participate, if there's interest in that sort of thing.

If you find me collapsed in front of your door, it'll mean I lacked the strength to lift you mat.
Thank you, I'd love to stop by. Now I do hope that even though you'd trust someone to let themselves in and wait politely for you to return from the golf course, that you wouldn't tell them where the key is to your Famous Grouse cabinet! That would just be too hospitable. (Besides, I'd bring you a bottle)

mistermellow,
please feel free to turn this into a philosophical journey for all of us. don't think of this as my plan, but rather, ours. and 'plan' might be too limiting a word. spontaneity and 'woodstock' have a nice feel. i like your way of thinking.
spread the word.
