which weekend is technically memeorial day? the one that gets the monday off? there is a big downtown event that weekend that i will HAVE to volunteer for. mainstreet gets closed down, there is tons of traffic. if it is the 31 may,1st june, i'll be out of commission with that...civic stuff.
if we go tht deep into june, after laconia, there is another motorcycle event...poker run wknd to benefit cancer research that coincides with a "relay for life" event. lots of 30mph peg scraping cruisers...i'm tied in that too...more civic stuff
i'll be able to go out and play, i have staff here that can work. i fyou guys want to make pies and muffins though...it can be arranged

Rides
Buenos Dias!
I can do almost every weekend in June. But do prefer the earlier two weekends. We can also have a day ride to Laconia or Americade during the week. Hope it does not rain. I can plan a scenic ride and a FAST ride (Tracy Roads or the GAPS and RT100)
I will ride my Speed Triple for sure hope I don't offend or scare anyone when we go into HOOLIGAN mode. The Speed Triple was made to be ridden that way!
Ton Up!

Any time works for me except Memorial weekend, the 4th of July and/or late July because of Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio.
I can't cook for squat, unless I want to be brought up on charges, but I can wash dishes.

This looks like it might turn into something that shouldn't be missed.
D'ya mind if I join in?
Might I suggest using a local KOA campground as accomodation? I've stayed in a few of their cabins on meet 'n greets such as this.

wow! some response going on here. please remember the spirit of it. ALL get to ride. this wasn't meant to cause bonniegirl ANY work. just fun and great rides and hopefully, great stories.
so, what's the date? too bad about may being cold there. it would be perfect to pre-empt the other rides. so even late may is cold there?
motley, you're kidding - right? do we mind if you join in? we'd mind if you DIDN'T!

redbird, this is what happened:
the hells angels set up selling tshirts and stuff right next to some church ladies selling popcorn. the church ladies got sick of all the swearing from the angels. the angels told the church ladies that they couldn't help but swearing so they would pay $1 for each profanity. the church ladies made 5x's the $$ from the angels than they did from the popcorn. it all ended in super good fun.

Ha! Great story, Robin!
Memorial Day weekend is May 24-26 (which also happens to be my birthday).
I still think Friday, May 30-Sunday, June 1 would be the best weekend to do this. What does everyone else think?
And yeah, between Tito and John and Robin and me, we'll come up with lots of great routes. I'm sure Dan Bisbee will want to join in too, and he knows tons of fantastic roads.
This is going to be fun. And the coolest part of it is that we're doing it for ourselves.

Even worse than cold is Mud Season & the Black Fly that comes with it. Those bastards bite and if you get enough bites you get sick. Waiting till June is a better idea.
