So, the preregistration deadline is passed. Any idea what the deal is for those of us who dragged our heels for too long? There seems to be little info available aside from the "send us $50" sheet. Anyway, assuming I'm not too late in registering, I'm planning on going.

JJ, I believe you can register (pay your money) on Friday afternoon/evening with no problem. Registering on Saturday without pre-registration may be a problem because they have to give the caterer a head-count for the Saturday evening meal.

Finding a room at the event hotel is sometimes a problem without a reservation; however, I have been to a few Rat Raids where some have stayed at hotels, etc. other than the event hotel.

Cool. Thanks. I'm Motel 6in' it on my limited budget, so I won't be at the Inn of the Hills anyway. (The cheapo motel, which looks to be about 5 miles away, probably won't seem like such a good idea after spending time in the cocktail lounge, but perhaps this will convince me to drink responsibly... perhaps.)

Well just remember not to drink and ride... you may hit a bump and spill it

Yeah those bumps are tricky. I also tend to slosh my drink every time I have to pull in the clutch lever.
