Mediterranean Island Tour

Price : 1500 euros per person
Extra for a single room ( only in the hotels ) 150 euros

This price includes : Cross-over with ferries in 2p-cabins, meals and transport of the bikes, lodgings in hotels with ½ board in double rooms, road-books, souvenir presents, some visits.
This price does not include : beverages – personal and extra expenses – petrol for the bikes – lunches –

The idea of this tour has haunted us for a very long time. We visited Sardinia, Corsica, so why not organise a trip that makes us round the Mediterranean basin, the cradle of our civilisation. Thanks to our partner C.M.N. with which we have been working for over 6 years now, we are able now to fine-tune this superb voyage. Departure will take place at Toulon on September 6th at 6p.M destination Civitavecchia in Italy on a ferryboat of this company. Next we will make two journeys in Italy ( Civitavecchia – Al Aquila and Al Aquila – Napoli ) – On Napoli we’ll take place on a ferry destination Catania in Sicily. Two days in this charming island and its secret charms will make us admire volcanic scenery and archaeological sites equalled by no other. Next another ferry will take us to Sardinia. Here, in the largest island of the Mediterranean Sea we will spend three days with our base at the superb village of Arbatax. Next we cross the sea to Corsica where we have three days to finish the tour with lodgings at Coti Chiavari, with our friend Jo and his fantastic cuisine. We cross by CMN ferry starting from Ajaccio on the 18th 7 p.m.. End of Tour at Marseille 19th September in the morning.

Hotel Belvedere at Coti-Chiavari . Trip Marseille – Corsica and back by CMN in cabins of 2 ( full board ) and transport of the bikes.
½ board + one meal on arrival or a picnic.

Our classic of the year, mostly full-booked. This year it will happen during school holidays, especially for those who asked for it!! What else is there to say except that we on’t stay as usual every time on Coti-Chiavari near Ajaccio in the mountain. We’ve reserved in two hotels, one in this hotel and the other on the North near Calvi. For the program it’s the same than every year : Ballads through Corsica every day, between 230 and 300 km, the true way to discover the isle. Lots of small things to ease our stay … Welcome to the ones who don’t yet know, and greetings to the ones who come the umpteenth time!!
The program :
Starting from Marseille on 20th at 7 pm, meeting on the Marseille harbour at 4.30 pm ( Quai d’Arenc gate 2 in front of the building CMN )
Embarkment on the ferry night on board with dinner and breakfast. Arrival on Propriano at 7 am. 21 th.
Direction the hotel in Coti Chiavari to put the luggages and take a small lunch. On the afternoon a small trip around the hotel to visit the Propriano area. Dinner and night on Coti.
22th : The South of Corsica ( Bonifacio ) dinner and night on Coti
23th : Change of hotel direction Cateri on the North West of the island by the famous road of the Chalanches de Piana. Dinner and night on Cateri
24 th : The handsworkers road and a small part of the Castaniccia. Dinner and night on Cateri
25 th : The fabulous Cap Corse and the Agriataes’ desert. Embarkment on Bastia to the CMN ferry at 6pm. Dinner, night on board.
26th : After the breakfast arrival on Marseille at 8pm. End of the raid.

27th October – 2nd November 2007

Same than the first, because there are many answer to booking on it and there are only 30 places on the hotels !!
Program.

27th : Ferry to Propriano, Embarkment on the ferry night on board with dinner and breakfast. Arrival on Propriano at 7 am. 28 th.
