Well, lets all post again. I'm going to Mid-Ohio for Vintage motorcycle days. Anybody want to meet-up? July27-29. We are camping fri and sat at Whip-oor-will campgrounds in Brinkhaven and spending Sat at the track. Also a Mini-RAT raid, so we signed up for that. The triumph demo truck will be there and other stuff per the flyer I got.

Jay, 'm already signed up for the mini-raid and plan to ride down for Saturday (7/28). I will look for you at the Triumph Corral in the infield. It's a handy place to park the bike. Last year a bunch of us rode over to Millersburg for dinner on Saturday night and it was a good way to meet new Triumph friends. I'm sure they will have a similar ride this year. Hopefully the weather will be at least half as good as last time.

Great Rich, we'll see you there...Millersburg is not far from our campground, so we might be interested in a dinner/side trip...

I'll be there, too, along with a few other Charlotte RATs. Thursday we're staying about 30 miles south, but we will be in the area on Friday and Saturday. Hopefully, we can cross paths.

Boy, Jay, we are having a hard time meeting up this season. Sue and I will be in northern Michigan that week. I tend to die of the heat at Vintage Days and the Super Bike races so we decided to pass on them this year and head north where, hopefully, it will be a little cooler. Probably be 90+ up there just to prove me wrong.
Looks like there will be several guys meeting up at Vintage Days this year so say "Hi" to all of them for us.
Since you are going down to Mid-Ohio on Friday try to take in the AHRMA flat track races at the Ashland fairgrounds. Its great fun and some of the grand old timers of the golden years of Grand National flat track racing still put on their leathers and give the youngsters a real run for their money.
Have a great weekend.

Anybody familiar with Mid-Ohio, chime in. Let's figure out a place to meet on Saturday July 28. I signed up for the RAT Raid, but I'd be happy to meet up any place. Anybody gotta suggestion?

Last year they had a Triumph Corral in the infield where you could park your bike and meet other Triumph people. It was also where we met for the dinner ride on Saturday.
From the following quote, it sounds like they have a similar plan for this year that even includes camping in the infield if you register for the RAT raid.
The infield is the place to be since it is close to everything and it is much shorter to go across the infield than to go around the track.

Re: MidOhio
Folks,
We're working with Triumph USA to present the first National Rat Raid at VMD. I doubt that you will have to pre-register for the demo rides, but you will have to pre-register for the other Raid activities. My guess is that you will be able to register at the event too, but possibly at extra cost. One of the great perks you get from registering for the Raid is that you will be able to camp in the Mid-Ohio Infield, just steps from Rat raid HQ. As a RAT member, I will go the extra mile to make this Raid the best ever and strive to make it a permanent fixture on the RAT calendar.
