Saturday June 19th (Rain or Shine)

Meet & Greet = 10am at Hartford Vespa In Plainville CT.

Nice long ride/ralley Through Scenic southeastern CT and the River Valley ending at Its Only Natural Restaurant In Middletown CT.. For Pints, Food, Music, Slow races, and other Shennanagens!

5 Days to go... Pray for sun.. but If no sun.. does not matter.. Cant be to bummed about a British Bike event without Proper English Weather..LOL

Last year was Proper English weather and 30 bikes showed for the ride....and a bunch of peeps for the after party at ION!

OK.....Itinerary is as follows...

Saturday June 19ths we all start arriving at hartford Vespa around 10am for the meet and greet / Hangout just like last year...

We will hang out there for a bit and depending on weather should have kickstands up at either 11am or Noon...

The first half of the ride will take about an hour Doug will be leading, Last year we went down some back roads avoiding 10 and traffic lights.... and Once we get on 68 East Im gonna try to get us to 150 East, Mark Hill and I found it on Sunday and it is Twisty....This will take us to Durham Dairy Serve, the Ice cream shop in Durham at the Intersection of 17 abd 79.. We will Hang out here for a bit, take a break and have an ice cream...and decide if we want to take a longer or shorter version of the second half of the trip...

Three options for the second half of the trip..

A: Shorter version = 1.5 hours 79 south to 80 east to 154 North up to middle town... thats the one we did last year..

b: Longer = 2 hours 79 south to 80 east to 154 North Accross the Good speed Bridge Up 149N to 151 North to 66 West. ( if we like at the point of crossing the river we can take a small detour to Gillette Castle if we want)..

or we can do C: the longest trip 3 hours - 77 soutn to 80 weast to 139 South to 146 east ( in branford Center), this is the road that we went on with Elm city and nice and windy...to 1 east to 79 North to 80 east to 154 North Accross the good speed Bridge to 149 North to 151 to 66 east into Middletown ...

I will be calling ION when we are leaving the Ice cream shop with a head count and an estimated time of arrival pending which ride we will go on...Think it over and we will discuss on Saturday..

We will have music and drink / food specials for all of us at ION and with good weather Im bringing some activities..

With good weather it will be better than last year...
