Visit to PA

Hi to all of you

Myself and my son have planned a visit to your part of the world in August. We are arriving in Philiadelphia and renting a bike for 10 days (not a Triumph as you can guess).

I was wondering if any of you could give us an idea of what to see during our trip, which routes are worth doing etc.

Any help you guys can give would be more than welcome.

Thanks in advance

Steve

Visit Pa

It depends what you are in to;
Travel west to Quaker country; travel east to the NJ shore and ocean or north to ther mountains
I live in the Poconos so I like it up ine the hills.Just travel north up the turnpike until you see an exit that interests you. Scenic rides through the mtns. Or best is travel north to rt 6 then wert across the top of the state. That is the best. Get on the PA tourist web site and it will help make decision

Cannot go wrong with Bucks County up through New Hope area. Rt. 32, 232, etc. Rt. 32 follows along the PA/NJ Delaware River. It is a great route; can get congested at some spots though (single lane road) especially in New Hope, PA.

Great biker spot and meeting point is a place called Van Sant airport. Awesome place to watch WWII era plans, gliders, and modern planes take off.

I must +1 this gentleman. If the weather is good the airport on Sunday is a destination for a ride in that area. Lots of bikes parked in New Hope with good eats and nice walking district.

Thanks for the replies. Really looking forward to the trip. Have to get ont the tourist website and try and plan a route. Not sure how many miles we will cover but have the bike for 10 days so should be able to clock a few miles up. Whats the weather like over there this time of year? Not too much rain l hope!

Let us know some dates. Maybe we can pull together a ride and show you some places first hand. Van Sant is a cool place to ride to. Great roads getting to it.
