Daytona or Street Triple R in NYC?

hey guys,

I'm really torn between a Daytona 675 or Street Triple R.

I'll probably do about half of my riding in the city and half out on the highway. I really like Daytona (and there seems to be a lot more good deals around) but I'm worried that it'll be a pain in the $$$ to ride around the city.

I like the Street Triple R look and the ergonomics, too, but I've never ridden a naked before and am not sure what the wind blast will be like on the highway.

What do you guys think?

I have a 2006 675 and added Gilles bars and Pro mack rear sets. This is a daily commuter that now is a lot easier to ride. Oh yes, it has a power commander to smooth out the little delays in city driving. Long trips of 500 mile days also much easier. Good luck

What's your riding experience? If you've never ridden a full on sport bike before, you will find the D675 has very aggressive ergos. I love the look of the bike, but I wouldn't buy it simply for the fact that I don't think it would be comfy at all. I would take the wind blast from the Street Triple R over the D675 ergos any day of the week. That's just my opinion, though.

My previous bike was a '98 Daytona t595 (which I sold a few years ago). I was at the dealer last nite, and the ergo on the 675 seems to be a lot more aggressive than my t595 (as I remembered).

you get used to the wind blast pretty quickly

the ergonomics are MUCH better on the street triple

I have an 03 Speed four and sitting on a daytona is like laying down compared to it.

I'd go street triple. The Daytona is sexy, but the Street is mean.
