I've concluded that most bike events suck. Although dealer open houses and demo days are usually a lot of fun.

Just thought I'd let you guys know :-)

I sort of agree with 97TB (Dan?). They are just a good excuse to get a group together for a ride, but shy of checking out new bikes at a dealer or bike show, it's better to just keep on riding by and hit some twisties.

That said, can't make the Bike event because my bike is out in Westchester and I won't have time after work to retrieve it. As for riding earlier, wouldn't that be riding earlier during rush hour? ;-)

I have to somewhat agree with you on that one. My most recent experience was the Lady Liberty Ride & Festival at Bear Mountain.

Matchless is a cool bar but for outside drinking and bike chatter The Ear Inn on Tuesdays is the cats ass.
