According to the papers, Rt 209, between Dingmans and Milford PA will reopen 11/2/2012.

Rain/Snow permitting, I propose a Sunday-Nov.4 inaugural cruise for any RATforum enthusiasts looking to keep their oil and blood circulating.

Perhaps start in N/E Jersey (Bergen/Passaic)>roll North (Wanaque Resv)>then west (WM) thru OrangeCT (Warwick) NY> find Milford PA 209> drop South 209 to "where the elite meet" (and guiness50)- West Jersey/Hot Dog Johnnies.

Open to ideas for KSU and proposing a route.

Well let me think about it- Hmmm OK I'm in - let me know time and place...

Who's up for a ride next Sunday or for the matter this Thurs,Fri and Sat. The leaves will be done with the color show by the 4th.

I can only do a couple hours this Saturday or Sunday but will break off when needed. I'm in!
Maybe some of us could scout out a potential route between West Milford and Milford for us to use on the following weekend's 'Rt 209 inaugural.'
I'd like to go thru the 'black dirt' area. What say ye'?

If memory serves me, we found an amazing little roller coaster of a road off of what should be 209 (or at least between the end of the 209 detour) that ended right above Rt. 80 and the Delaware Water Gap. I think it was River Rd. but I'm sure there are a lot of roads named River Rd. around there. Headed south we took an impulsive left at a light to escape suburban sprawl and a strip mall and suddenly we were in a little bit of heaven. I could find it again...

There are a bunch of great roads over there, on both sides of the Delaware.
