August Meet up Details inside

Ok gang here it is for August:

Mt Baldy. Here is the route
http://goo.gl/maps/aw0B

Details:

The ride itself is short...about a hour and a half total. this is one of the more challenging rides for beginners. The turns are tight and there's always debris on road, one really nasty hair pin turn, and a single lane road. Dont get me wrong, this is a lot fun. But you have to be careful...ive nearly crashed a few times cause i thought I was Rossi. I have video proof.

Since this is a short ride, ive added an option for those who want to go back up the more challenging way, over, and back down. see the map.

Optional rides:

August 11th with So-Cal Norton. "August 11(Saturday) - Prince of Darkness/Mulholland Drive: meet at 6 pm at Glory (4659 Hollywood Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90027 ), Hollywood Blvd just east of Vermont; ride leaves at 7 pm through Hollywood and over Mulholland to Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake..." I will be going on this. for those who are interested, email me

Doug Douglas Big Bear ride
I dont have details on when this is...but, if i can make it, I plan on going.

Date: The whole month is open to all...with that said, here are some dates that are ideal: 4th, 5th, 12th, 18th, 19th. So pick a date. You got 1 week. start PMing others too...

Doug Douglas Big Bear ride Sunday, 8/19
Per Lee: Art at Doug Douglas has posted details of the next Inland Empire RAT ride to Big Bear, which everyone is invited to participate in:

The Next IE RAT ride is Sunday, 8/19. We will leave the store at 10am and head Northwest up 15 to 138 west and meet at the Circle K right next to the 15 to see if anyone catches up to us there. We will leave there at 10:45. From there we go East past Lake Silverwood to 18 and follow the ridge all the way to Big Bear for lunch. After lunch we will take hwy 38 down and back to the dealership. Should be a great time!

The dealership's address is 24769 Fifth St., San Bernardino (between Waterman and Tippecanoe). We are meeting there, or people from points west can meet up at the Circle K at Rt 138 and I-15.

Dates: The whole month is open to all...with that said, here are some dates that are ideal: 4th, 5th, 12th, 18th, So pick a date. You got 1 week. start PMing others too...

Times ticking...

Either date should work for me (unless I manage to get a trackday booked)...the hairpin really isn't that bad...there's always tons of campers and gold-panners around that spot, so you have to take it pretty easy no matter what....has anyone done a mileage estimate re. going back up the hill and retracing the route...I'm concerned about tank capacity...I know mine will make it (assuming it's working by then!) but I don't have any idea of the Thruxtons and Bonnies ranges??
