Had a great ride yesterday, first real long ride of the year. The weather here was great for March, 50 deg and sunny, no clouds to speak of. A buddy of mine and his wife (Chuck and Ginger) rode his Harley Road King, and I was on my 03 T100. We started in Arlington, riding south on I-5 to Edmonds, wher we caught the ferry across to the Olympic Penninsula. Thats where it got good. No traffic, open, dry roads (a rarity in WA in the winter :-D ), good times. We made good time up to Sequim, where we had breakfast at the Oak Table. If you are ever in the area, the food there is worth the trip all by it self! Best breakfasts ever!

Then it was off to the East along Hwy 101, through Port Angeles and a turn onto State Hwy 112. This is the jewel of the trip. 90 miles of twisties, with dazzling views of the ocean alternating with shots of the Olympic Mts on the shore side, green everywhere. Good times. At the town of Neah Bay on the Makah Indian Reservation, at the far NW corner of the penninsula, we grabbed a bite to eat, had a quick pee, and back to do 112 again. Basicly retraced our steps back.

Only two low points....Chuck had an "incident" with his kickstand which resulted in the Harley laying itself against the gas pump at one stop, no harm done, just enough that I could poke a little fun at him.... . The other thing was my wifes (understandable) reaction when we arrived home FIVE HOURS late! Just got that all smoothed over this morning!

All in all, a great ride, about 350 miles, gone for 12 hours. If you are looking for some great curves and bueatiful country, I heartily recommend this route!

Now off to get a start on my suddenly much longer chores list!!!!

You probably should have been 6 hours late and run up to Hurricane Ridge too.

Still sounds like you had a good run.

Actually, my wife and I are taking the bike back over there for a weekend away from the kids in May. Hurricane Ridge sounds like a good ride, we might head up there....

Sounds like a great ride Copper. I grew up in Bellevue and would love to get back up that way for some rides.
