Is this the form where you all think about riding?

I think a handful of people here actually ride. How about some photos, stories, lies, something.

If you do ride...post where and when (that is if you want company).

I have post a few time here looking for someone to ride with. No reply. I post on another board 15 people show up.

Y'all have no problem posting endless oil threads. Put the slippery kind in and ride IT! Then tell us about it.

Well, I ride every day. But I don't think I'll have too many takers on my commute across some of the most impressively snarled highways in California. I haven't gotten anything longer than a day ride in since.... Eek, January.
Sadly, way too much going on on the homefront for me to be out and about before summer. (Even an overnight or two would be lovely right now.) I'm sure most of the forum is in the same boat, because the biker hang out is getting most of the traffic.
I tend not to post about my riding here anyway, because I blog it. But if you want a picture, here's one a friend of mine took during last summer's trip.
So, tag. You're it. Where are you riding?

I cannot commute on the bike. Pure pleasure riding here.

I've been trying to stir it up in here, but I'm not getting very far... we need to separate stories from events, but no one else seems to like the idea... With the jumble of listings in here it is hard to get at the stories.. I too enjoy reading of others adventures... pashnit.com has some great reads as does sport-touring.net... these Reads have helped to motivate me to plan a 10k trip around the US this June...

So.. What up? Not much... but it is hoped some day to become a hopping place...

Wow, Jason, you're got on Pashnit after all. So often, no one actually pays attention to my posts because I'm Y-gene deficient. Isn't it an amazing site? I owe a ton of good riding to them. A lot of these are my fun rides, particularly the SF east bay ones because I just roll down the driveway and I'm there.
Let me know if there's any other info you want on the California leg of your journey. Because if I'm lucky, someday I'll be asking you about Maine.
2nd, it's been years since I've been in Virginia, but from what I remember, even a commute would be pleasure riding there. Of course, like any non-resident, I'm thinking Shenendoah rather that DC area. So do tell. Where are you riding?

Oh, I don't take pictures.
A few years ago, I got smart about that and just gave up. I could be fourty miles down the road in the time it takes me to figure out a halfway decent snapshot. I only carry a camera for those AMA Grand Tours that I am so addicted to. Does anyone else do these things or am I the only pin collector out there?
Instead, I bought my husband a shiny cool camera and he takes pictures (like a madman, but doesn't post them online much), and I often ride with a friend who blogs and posts pictures of just about everything.
Anyway, to keep it topical, this summer it's shaping into a solo ride back to Ohio, so expect about four blurry pictures of weird roadside attractions as my entire record of the trip...
So, Mare, where are you riding? Anything in the works?

I have looked for people to go riding with here also. So far in 2 years I've met Shawn and VR6.
AR is a riding Eden. My personal thoughts are that many riders aren't aware of this site and the RAT pack in LIT is very clannish and doesn't want to have anything to do with non members. When I was in my free year I emailed the pack leader a few times and never heard anything back. I also left my name, phone, and email with the dealership. Never heard anything.

hey 2nd, where did you end up riding on saturday? i got about 100 miles in just riding around the GW parkway and around DC. i had plans for the later in the afternoon so my ride was cut short. got a short ride in yesterday during that late afternoon thunderstorm.

did you check out the DC rats group on yahoo? not sure where you are in VA but if you can make it to DC you should come out with us.
