Carcassonne France

Hello
A nice weekend ride with my wife to leave our high mountain valley still in winter to Carcassonne and the medieval city, nice riding around in a wild area and a good restaurant and opera for the evening.
Return by another route with a little bit wet weather...
here pictures in some post
col du chioula leaving the mountain

break at Prades village for a lunch under the sun

Camurac village

Col des Sept Frères (Seven Brothers pass) and an old cross (1743-1875) with signs of royalty

Belcaire village

arrival at Limoux, the "clairette" (sparkling wine) is an old well known speciality here.

En route by a wild little road to Carcassonne

You are a lucky man. A wife/ significant other who rides and live in a beautiful part of France. I was touring the Bordeaux and Dordogne area last May. Quite nice , not to mention the wine.

Masquerading every day as a normal person is exhausting.

merci pour ces photos.

I particularly like the one with the Bigeard space. The former naval infantry paratrooper that I am can not ignore that this illustrious soldier created the 3rd RPC which later became the 3rd RPIMa.
I have often crossed the door of the Normand quarter. And even though my house was the 8th RPIMa, I always had a lot of emotion and respect for this regiment and those who serve it.
