Just Another Sunday Ride...

Well, the Duchess is down, waiting for some parts...so, that meant I had to ride on the back of my hubby's bike this past Sunday...Decided to take a quick "video" and share with you all. This will give you an idea of what we get to see when riding in West Texas!

enjoy!

Ya, just like the roads in Massachusetts. NOT! Even if I looked throught binoculars in reverse, I couldn't find roads and expanse that long where I live. You live in big country all right. Thanks for the video.

What's he riding?

You need to know that's a mountain road in West Texas! I think the highest point in Texas is actually in New Mexico. You should see the roads out on the flats!

Thanks, Britishsteele, I enjoyed watching that. Something I just realized - you rarely see continuous shots in TV and even film anymore. It's fast cut after fast cut; 3 seconds and on to something else. For the first minute of your video I half expected it to cut away to something else. It's refreshing to just "ride with" you and your hubby for a while, and get a sense of the open road.

Wow - that is some desolate country! Does Texas actually patrol it for speeders or can you pretty much ride that country as you see fit?

It's not as bad as Montana, but pretty much, out here in West Texas, there are a lot of isolated roads like this.....the key is to keep an eye out for the sheriff. Now, out in East, North and South Texas, I'm not sure...I know that in the San Antonio, Austin area, they call that hill country and it has some great riding out there!!!!

How did you mount the camera? Was it a lipstick camera attached to your video camera attached to your helmet? I barely know how to use my video camera and would like to shoot some rides.
