Gidday folk,

Do you know of anyplaces in, or close to Boston, MA that rent bikes.

I'm going to be in America for about a month in July/August. I'll start at Boston, and then make my way to North Carolina (Greensboro) and back. Then it's off to Toronto, Montreal, Portland and back to Boston.

I'm hoping to rent a bike for some of my trip, but can't find too many places in Boston. The two I've found are:

www.sheldons-rentals.com - official Harley rental place.

I'm really keen to rent a Speedmaster, Sportster 1200 or Tiger (roughly in this order!). I'd probably settle for any other decent bike though, if I can't get any of the three above

Do you know of any other place, or do you have any tips and suggestions (which are very welcome).

I'll give a +1 to Sheldons. The only other one I can think of is Highway Pegs on Cape Cod.

You should call first. It might be tough for you to get the dealer offered insurance in MA. MA insurance is very strict!

I have no experiance renting out of state but I've been told of rental companys such as these:

Both Sheldons and Highway Pegs are MSf training sites also.

Neither are "in" Boston. Both are Harley rentals.
Eaglerider has/had a location closer to Boston in Everett,
at Boston Harley.
Sheldons is in Auburn, about 40 minutes west of Boston.
Highway Pegs are loacted just over the bridge on Cape Cod.
HP will be a sever pain in the arse to get to on a Friday or any time
during the weeknd, Cape traffic is murder.
