Great question because as I watch these I'm thinking I would like to look over to my left and right a bit and see whats there, also maybe down at my speedo and tach to get a quick look of that. But as I pass someone I would love to slightly glance over at them and that's where my reverse mounted camera would come in and catch the guy as I pass.

I dont notice it. The camera is mounted on the side of my helmet and I cant even see or feel it there - typical 'lipstick camera' size. We stop about every 40 minutes or so - except one time we rode for 1hr 40 min. What you're not seeing is all the 'bleh' I edit out. Stuff like me fumbling with gloves on to start/stop filming. As we get ready to leave from a stopping point, I start the recorder and have it tucked in a tank bag. When we stop - I stop recording. When I got home from that particular day of riding, I had 5 hrs worth on 7 saved videos to download and look thru. I knew the blood mountain run was gonna be a good one. But just think, the roads were sh-- that day. I['ll get some better ones once thing clean off up there. The kit I have comes with several mounts - you can attach the camera to yourself, the bike, on your helmet ... which I prefer. Gives you a bit more of being the rider than just mounting it on the bike.

here's a video of how it looks when I start off. We're finished from taking a break at a local gas station. Scot03Bonnie took off first before I could get everything set - we'll catch him after this vid cuts off. Thrux-ton-up is the one waiting at the entrance/exit. No music - nothing added/deleted. No fades in/out etc. Take note, you'll see me look down at the very end of it - I noticed my left sleeve velcro wasnt done.

Great video, great tunes. I really enjoyed your report.
Only problem - it makes me want to go out and buy a helmet cam to make vids like that.

nice vids, I want a camera now too. AC/DC is my favorite band ever. I especially love the Bon Scott era stuff, and '74 jailbreak is as good as it gets.
NICE!

I would post some more vids if I had the chance to get out and ride, but it's been snowing in Atlanta lately and now it's 16 degs outside. The cold aint so bad (Gerbings baby), but the snow thing ... yeah, (around here) that's bad. Now the extended forecast for next weekend is calling for temps in the upper 50s, but with thunder showers.

It came in a 'video kit' from www.motocomm.com - look at the bottom of their menu, it's the DSR-100. Shop around, you can get it cheaper on ebay and such. The video is actually a bit better quality before I upload it to photobucket. Someone explained to me - the file gets compressed and loses some quality. I'm still gonna find a high resolution camera that can be swapped in the stock ones place - once I get more familar with what I have.
