I don't envy you on the Postie Bike Challenge, that sounds like a hell of a torture session. You'll be d@mn glad to see Cairns, that's for sure.

The first one is one of the sweetest sportsbike roads in Oz, even though it's only 2klms long. I could ride it all day. Officially the road's called East Evelyn Rd. But it's been known since pioneer times as Gentle Annie
This is the Palmerston Hwy between Millaa Millaa & Innsifail. The down run ends at Crawford's Lookout, which overlooks the Nth Johnstone River Gorge, & is a place I've posted a couple of pics of previously.

Only at this time of year (Wet Season).
The roads start to fill up with tourists looking to escape the southern winter, from now on. June-Nov the roads are choc-a-bloc with campervans & rental cars.
