Great report, Paul. A few friends and I are planning a trip to Cherahola Skyway in the spring. If your interested in the trip let me know.
And you know what they say when opportunity knocks, "Go North Young Man!" LOL
Got any pics of the Sprint loaded down? How did she fair with the baggage?

I didn't even know the bags and tail pack were on the bike.

See killboy 10/11/07 page 10 last row and page 12 4th row or look at us129photos page 36 row 2 and 3, page 41 row 2 and 3 and page 46 4th row.

I think the US129 photos are better.

Thanks for the picture of the sign airrider3. I was ticked there wasn't another one when I wanted to take the picture.

burmbuster just let me know when you have date. Not a lot tying me down except my weekends with my daughter and I am not going to try and switch with her mother because she is a cruel, heartless, *&%^$. Insert your own favorite expletive in the area above.

Those are cool pics, Paul. Where did you have your tent? In your back pocket? LOL
The tail bag looks like its very functional. Still undecided on what I want to do luggage wise.
As soon as we have a solid date I will let you know.I'm the only married one in my small circle so I am the only one to have to contend with getting a hall pass. I'm sure we can get a date to occomodate everyone.

This is LoVels' Dad, HiVel. We (MOM and I) went through the BRP Wed and Thur in our Honda Odyssey, and the bottom sign was GONE! Do u think somebody stole it?? Ha! I got a keychain with both signs on them! Son, you did not tell them about he "race" you had with the Subaru WRX(?) turbo 4wd rallye car-that is a separate story I guess. We did not scrub off the chicken strips on the Odyssey but we talked to a bunch of bikers at rest stops etc. One Speed Triple rider from NYC on way to WPB, FL. with a lady riding a new BMW. Lots of HD up there. Guess that 35 mph limit is their meat. Fun for all-the fall colors were spectacular in plenty of areas. Saw lots of deer on our hikes , and we too enjoyed our moon roof open trip and staying in old cabins with no bathrooms. I have run the BRP and Skyline both ways , camping all the way on my BMW and my Suzuki-in cars too.; love the place. Do it!

The tent was in the luggage. I had the tent and sleeping bag both in one bag and everything else in the other. Pack light.

It took me a little searching to actually find a tent that fit. It's a two man tent. Bought it at Dick's sporting goods. If you can find the one that is no longer than a rolled up sleeping bag it will work. If you want me to try and find the actual name let me know and I will go look.

LoVel - nice right up. Makes me miss the entire area. Nothing but great riding there for sure. Here's a pic from my last trip up that way. I always try to make it there at least once a year. It's too close not to make the effort and the pay off is well worth it.

LoVel... ahhh I see you're divorced with children... by the tone of the sentence, I'd say... hmmmm... less than three years... maybe two... It will get better... Trust me... I've been through all that crap... Two daughters here... I went through Hel! to keep them in my life... The upshot is that I've got a great relationship with them and their mother had to back off on the games and crap.... The girls saw what she was pulling and started to turn on her...

Sorry to go off topic on the thread...

Bottom line... western N. C. and eastern Tenn. has some of the best roads/riding to be found any where... Come back with enough time to explore and enjoy...
